January Welcome Message

Steve AshkinWelcome To DestinationGreen

We begin this month’s Green Selling Tip covers the top accomplishments of 2005, which we hope you’ll share with your customers and prospects.  It still amazes me how many people still are unaware of the Green Cleaning Movement, but I think they too will be impressed by what we’ve accomplished.  And this article will help give you the insights to help you be on top of your game.

We also have a first this month.  In this month’s DestinationGreen we are announcing a unique opportunity for you to provide your thoughts on modifications to the US Green Building Council’s LEED for Existing Buildings Rating System (LEED-EB).  This is an especially valuable opportunity for those of you whose company’s are not currently members of the Council.  So please talk a look at this article and make comments on those Credits that are important to you.  Deadline for comments is just around the corner, so act now!

Other articles this month include several Health & Environment articles covering issues ranging from the growing acceptance by of green issues by John Q. Public (Why Green, Why Now) which is good news for the mainstreaming of the Green Cleaning Movement, to easy tips that you can use to green your office, plus our ongoing coverage of the global climate change issue.
And we are proud announce our first major international initiative in The Ashkin Group News.  We have had numerous opportunities to do international work, but our new project in Mexico combines all the right elements working with the Mexican Government to introduce Green Cleaning to that country.

Finally, we have updated our calendar of events which includes the first confirmed session that we will be doing with ISSA on “Selling Green Cleaning” that we will be doing around the country, as well as a number of major conferences and distributor events.  And you’ll want to check out our Green Group of the Month – Environmental Choice.  It is the Canadian equivalent to Green Seal and will begin to make an impact here in the States.

Thanks for taking your time to read DestinationGreen.  The Green Cleaning Movement continues to accelerate and we need you to succeed.  So please let us know what we can do to help you.  Good selling.
